In Rishikesh ( Uttrakhand, India) I met with the adventurous life of travelling. For me adventure is something which scares you and give you happiness both at a same time. Adventure teaches you to respect your life. It reminds you that you are still alive. Adventure is a feeling which is very hard to describe in words. You have to live it to know it. It has the power to change your life.

This is the trip me and my friend Vaibhav planed together. We decided first we took the bus for Dehradun ( Uttrakhand, India) where we meet our old school friend Surya. We spent a day with him in Dehradun exploring Dehradun market. We stick to the plan. When we reached Dehradun , we went to Surya's house where we took rest and got freshen up to visit Ghanta Ghar (a market place in Dehradun). Then we went to Tibetan market to eat some tibetan food. After having a great day with Surya, we went back to his home and decided to leave next morning. Next morning we took the bus for Rishikesh. It takes around one hour to reach Dehradun.
Finally, at 9:am, we are in Rishikesh. We easily got a great package from an adventure sports company which includes river rafting, camping, conveyance and three meals at an affordable price. Still we did some bargaining to make it more affordable. First we went for river rafting, where we suit up all the safety gears and got instructions before entering into the water. I still remember before taking my seat into the raft I asked the instructor , is it necessary to know swimming for rafting ? and he replied Bro! just swimming can't help you here. So, don't worry your life jacket will help you in that. After that me and Vaibhav hugged and wished all the best for one another and remembered the god. Don't worry we are not scared , we are too excited for rafting.
I want you to know few things about rafting. Rafting is an adventures sport which use an inflatable raft to navigate a river. Dealing with risk and the need for team work is also a part of the experience. We are all in a multi person raft which carries about 6-8 people at a time. The raft is propelled by a single bladed paddles and steered by a person at the stern or by the use of oars and that work was done by our instructor. He was also giving us commands when to paddle forward and when to paddle backward and when to stop. You have to be very attentive at the same time you have to work in a team. I was sitting in the front of the raft and when the first rapid came the water splashes on my face. It was freezing cold. We experienced about 10-12 rapids in that 18 km rafting. We also did body surfing and cliff jumping that was fun. After that we went to our campsite, which was in Shivpuri. Thirty minutes drive away from rafting site. Even that ride was quite adventures. We are travelling in an open jeep and the driver was driving amazingly on that mountain road. This experience was complimentary.

Now, here comes the most beautiful part of traveling you meet new people from different cultures. There is a some kind of bond that connects two strangers or you can say two travelers very easily. May be because you both reflect same feeling about travelling. I also met two beautiful people there, Berengere and Sonam. They are with us since rafting. Me and Vaibhav spent a great time with them. We played carrom and cards together, we enjoyed born fire and songs at night and the next day we trek together for Neer waterfall. Berengere was very kind to me. When i told her that I'm a numismatic. She gave me some coins of different countries without expecting anything in return. So nice of her. They are in Ladakh and i'm sure will meet soon. These beautiful memories are always going to stay with me as a beautiful part of my travelling. So, that's how a beautiful trip to Rishikesh ends.
